Trust me, Gentlemen - book your appointment with Hannah:
In a chair at Fifth Image, late afternoon light,
I sat down a little weathered, but still ready for the fight.
A fifty‑something wanderer with scars that softly gleam,
Hoping for a sharper edge to match the life I’ve seen.
Then Hannah from Vietnam, with a quiet artist’s grace,
Took measure of my thinning crown and rugged time‑marked face.
Her scissors spoke a fluent tongue her mirror understood—
A gentleman emerged where just a tired old'ish fellow stood.
She traced my beard‑line carefully along an ancient wound,
Where memory and skin together once were poorly hewn.
Yet every careful, patient pass said, “You’re safe here in my hands,”
And history became part of her refined design and plans.
Around the “flaws” upon my head that life had left behind,
She worked like one who knows the map of battles in the mind.
Old‑timers bear our stiches like a secret veteran’s code,
But under Hannah’s watch those scars turned medals on the road.
Then came the wash: O, gentlemen, attend this part with care,
For I was whisked to Ho Chi Minh on scented, steamy air.
Her fingers on my scalp composed a symphony of calm,
A five‑star seaside holiday disguised as chair and palm.
She kneaded neck and temples till the day’s weight had to yield,
As if she’d found the clasp that locks a man inside his shield.
For all the years I’ve carried in these shoulders, spine, and skin,
I felt, for once, that simply being me was not a sin.
If I would offer any fault to this near‑perfect art,
It’s only that the water could run hotter from the start.
Dear Hannah, do not fear the heat that makes old bones rejoice,
A hotter stream of water is life’s most underrated choice.
So, men of seasoned vintage, with your silver threads and lines,
Your boardroom wars and quiet scars, your half‑forgotten signs.
If you would see how time‑worn edges may be honed again,
Go sit in Hannah’s gentle hands and be restored, my friend.
At Fifth Image Salon, where the city’s hum grows thin,
You’ll find a distant Ho Chi Minh and younger, calmer skin.
For every cut and careful trim, for every knotted sigh,
She’ll send you out a distinguished man;
head high, and spirit dry. - Preeti·
Martin has always done magic with my hair. I go to this place for hair cut, hair styling, hair colouring and keratin treatment. Since I started doing these with Martin, i have never gotten the same experience elsewhere and hence I come back here everytime over the past decade!
